What To Expect When You Work With Me

As your travel advisor, I work hard to make sure all your vacation wishes come true. My knowledge and connections enable you to have a headache-free and smooth experience making your travel dreams a reality.

From the moment we first meet (via phone or video call) to the moment you arrive home (and even past that) I am by your side. I'll be here giving you peace of mind and access to insider tips and tricks to get you where you want to go -- without the decision fatigue that normally comes from trip planning.

Here is what you can expect when we work together:

Phase One: Our Initial Meet Up

You have decided to take the leap and set up a free 30 minute, no obligation, discovery call with me, according to a time that works best with you.

On this call, I go over with you all your needs and wants for this vacation.

Looking for some much needed rest and relaxation?
Are you hoping for once-in-a-lifetime excitement?
Maybe you need plenty of activities for your kids to burn off their extra summertime energy?

Don't worry if you don't know where to start, I can help you narrow it down.

Phase Two: The World Is Your Oyster

After the call (or after you've had a chance to mull over what we talked about), you decide to hire me as your travel advisor.

I charge a small fee depending on what you are looking for my help with.

Perhaps you just want me to do a quick and simple booking for you, no bells or whistles.

Or maybe you're thinking more bells and whistles, please!

Either way, there is a pricing package to suit your needs. Read more about my fees below.

I take all the information I gathered from our initial call and put together up to 3 quotes for your trip. Expect to hear from me within a few days with pricing details and any additional suggestions I might have up my sleeve.

Let's schedule a video chat to go over the choices. If you need extra time to mull over this info, that's ok – but don't mull too long as pricing is subject to change up until a deposit is made.

If there are any tweaks you would like done, let me know and I can make necessary adjustments for you to consider.

The Support Package: Air, Accommodation or Vehicle Rental only bookings. Already know where and when you want to travel? This package is suitable for those travelers who have already make the decision on where and when they are going and have a clear idea of what to expect for prices. You really just want to take advantage of having the peace of mind that if changes have to be made due to unforeseen circumstances (like weather delays or airline closures), you have someone by your side to help. What you get with The Support Package: One on one consultation to go over trip details Industry expertise to facilitate booking the trip A second set of eyes to double check details and pricing Support for any changes that have to be done in the event circumstances change Pre-travel thank you gift	$25 per booking to a maximum of $100
The Vacation Planning Package: Cruise, All Inclusive, Resort Packages Have an idea of what you are looking for but want to shop around for prices, dates, or resorts? This package is ideal for travelers who have a idea of where they want to go (like to Disney World, or to a sunny destination) but want some guidance on the best time to go or what resort to stay at. In addition of having the peace of mind you get with my support throughout the travel process, you also get my expert in-depth destination knowledge to guide the decision making process. What you get with The Vacation Planning Package: everything in The Support Package In-depth presentation of different options available to suit your budget Access to my first hand knowledge with a variety of different destinations and vacation suppliers Advice on restaurant and experience selection	$150 per package
The Experience Package: Fully Custom Travel Packages including Activities, Restaurant Reservations, etc. Want a truly VIP experience? This package is for travelers who want to be more hands off with planning their vacation. You have an idea of where you want to go (or maybe not) and want to take advantage of all the services I offer to make the vacation planning experience truly stress-free. You want to benefit from the peace of mind you get with my support as well as my expertise. You also want to take advantage of the time-saving benefits by having me manage all parts of your trip from transportation and accommodation to dining and experiences. What you get with The Experience Package: everything in The Support Package and The Vacation Planning Package Special attention to finding the perfect restaurants and experiences to suit your family Scheduling and reservations for such experiences Concierge services during travel	$250 per package
A La Carte: individual dining and experience reservations	$25 per reservation to a maximum of $250 package total
Cancellation Fees	Service Fees are non-refundable in addition to any supplier cancellation fees discussed prior to reservation

An Additional Note About Service Fees
Travel agents used to work purely on commission. You book a trip and when you travel and the supplier is confident they do not have to issue a refund, a small percentage of your trip would go to the travel agent. While that meant nothing came out of your pocket, it also meant the travel agent didn't get paid if you cancelled your trip - even though they did all the work to get you booked and ready for your trip.
Then the COVID19 Pandemic happened.
Many travel agents lost their livelyhoods due to everyone having to cancel their trips and no one knowing when it would be safe to travel again. Because most travel agents did not charge a fee upfront, there was nothing to request from travel insurance companies that would replace the lost commission these professionals faced. Since then, the industry is making changes.
While some agents might not be charging fees, many have begun to, especially with the unpredictability of the travel industry since 2020.
By hiring me as your travel advisor, you don't only get the “agent” side of my business which encompasses the booking of your trip but you get the “advisor” side that allows me to put as much time and effort behind helping you with your vacation dreams as you need.
The saying goes “you get what you pay for” and, while you might save a bit of money going with an agent who will book your trip for free, you might not get as much attention to detail as you would hope because they have to fill their books just in case some of their clients cancel.
By charging a small fee upfront, I am able to commit to you as if you are my only client - think VIP concierge level service rather than drive thru. It's about quality, not quanitity.

Phase Three: Taking the Leap

So, you like the pricing and you are ready to hit book. Congratulations! Next, I send you a credit card authorization form for supplier deposits that will lock in your choices, dates and pricing. Then I create for you a final itinerary in your desired format (digital or hard copy or both) and deliver it to you. I can also set up a payment plan for your trip, complete with reminders, so by the time final payment is due you aren't stressed about the large bill (right before vacation).

Phase Four: The Countdown Begins

Waiting is the most difficult part.

I keep you informed of payment due dates and any additional information you might need leading up to your trip. I'm staying tuned to any changes in weather, etc. and let you know if there are any changes or preparations you should make.

Now, you are ready to take off - but my job is not done. Keep my number and email close by incase you have ANY problems on your trip. I'm here to help. The hotel mistakenly gave you a queen bed instead of a king? Let me handle this for you.

Phase Six: You're Home Dreaming of Your Next Trip

You've come home and you already want to go back. Been there.

Don't be surprised if you hear from me in the days following your trip so I can get the scoop on how it all went. The more I know about the good, bad, and ugly of your trip, the better I can help you the next time you travel. What's Next?

If all that sounded like a lot, well it kind of is.

There is a lot that goes into curating and facilitating travel. If I can take some of that off your plate so you are not exhausted before you even hit the book now button, I think it's worth it.
